Frequently asked questions
What does taking part cost?
Nothing. Registration is free and commits you to nothing. There is no joining fee and no membership – we earn on the difference between your rate and what we charge the end client.
Do I have to hand over my fitters?
No. Your people stay employed and insured with you. You decide who goes out and can withdraw a release at any time. The work runs through your business, not around it.
When do I get paid?
Within 30 days of the approved monthly settlement, with a 5 % retention until acceptance. Important: whether the end client has paid us is irrelevant to your fee – we have no pay-when-paid clause.
Am I tied exclusively?
No. You keep working for your own clients as much as you like. We fill the gaps in your order book – we don’t want to occupy it.
Which certificates do I need?
To start: trade register proof and business liability insurance. Before the first assignment, an individual A1 certificate per fitter plus the § 48b tax exemption certificate. A phone photo is enough – upload any time in the portal.
What happens if there are defects on site?
You are liable for your own work under statutory contract-for-work rules and remedy justified defects at your own cost. Minor issues during the job are settled directly with your site management, without paperwork battles.
